Lenz Safety Delivers OSHA Compliant CPR and AED Training for Aerospace Contractor
On April 5th and 6th, Lenz Safety provided OSHA First Aid/Cardiovascular Resuscitation (CPR) and Auto External Defibrillator (AED) Safety Training to 65 employees of a major AeroSpace contractor in Snohomish and King County.
Customizable Classroom OSHA Safety Training Maximizes Value
This company truly cared about being in compliance with OSHA regulations, for the safety of their employees. To make OSHA safety training even more powerful, managers and employees worked together in the classroom to design an OSHA compliant safety program which met the needs of all stakeholders. With the addition of a female instructor to the training, everyone felt comfortable participating in the exercises.
Solving Concerns over Proper CPR Techniques and AED Instrument Usage
A major concern for the employees was proper CPR techniques and use of the AED instrument. With a somewhat aging workforce, employees were concerned with a strong health and safety program, especially CPR and AED usage. Some workers were also concerned about being able to use AED technology. We took the time to specifically address those concerns and applauded management for having those AED instruments available to them.
Medical Training in the Latest Procedures, Like Hemostatic Bandaging
In high-speed fabrication work, there is a risk of injury, which may cause a significant loss of blood. Lenz Safety instructs in the most contemporary medical and safety training procedures. Did you know that recently that the American Heart Association recently added a new standard to control the loss of blood? The new standard is called “Hemostatic Bandaging” of the wound. This procedure is approved by OSHA when a wound is so significant direct pressure won’t control the bleeding. Instead of using direct pressure, you should fill the wound with the wound with gauze which has a blood clotting agent in it. Once the wound is filled, you would take the remainder of the gauze to create a pressure bandage.
Flexible, on-site OSHA Safety Training
The reason Lenz Safety has great relationships with employers is we design a customized OSHA compliant program to meet unique needs. We come to the job site and teach interactive, hands-on classes. We can schedule with pieces of training as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 9 p.m., in order to accommodate schedules and reduce overtime expenses.
